There have been no new positive cases since 30 October. The last patient was discharged on 8 November and that marked the start of a 42-day countdown, as per WHO guidelines. Read more from the WHO Regional Office for Africa\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afro.who.int\/countries\/rwanda\/news\/marburg-outbreak-rwanda-declared-over\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We fully appreciate the leadership of the Rwanda Minister of Health and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre in responding to the Marburg virus so quickly and effectively. We commend the Government&#8217;s swift response and measures they have put in place to contain the outbreak and prevent future cases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to be holding the Forum in Kigali this February 13-15, with pre-conferences on the 12. Rest assured, we will continue to monitor closely the situation together with our partners and health authorities, and will update you should the situation change.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Programme update<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Following the Forum postponement, the\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/forum.ncdalliance.org\/programme\/\" href=\"https:\/\/forum.ncdalliance.org\/es\/programme\/\">programme<\/a>\u00a0has been re-confirmed and further strengthened with new speakers, ensuring an even more powerful platform for advancing the NCD response.<\/p>\n<p>The updated programme will offer a rich variety of sessions, including pre-conferences, workshops, high-level plenaries, thematic parallels, satellite sessions, and interactive sessions in the Community Zone. There will also be many opportunities to engage through social events and networking.
