\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Unhealthy diets and malnutrition are key drivers of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). In urban settings across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), the double burden of malnutrition\u2014where undernutrition and overweight and obesity coexist\u2014is worsening, accelerating the rise of NCDs and placing increasing pressure on healthcare systems.<\/p>

This session will bring together a diverse panel of experts from multiple sectors, along with individuals with lived experiences and youth advocates. They will discuss community-driven initiatives and coordinated multisectoral actions to address the double burden of malnutrition and NCDs in urban settings in LMICs.<\/p>

Attendees will gain valuable insights into actionable interventions and policies to improve diets and promote health, such as strengthening primary healthcare, transforming food environments, and fostering community resilience.
