This session builds on broader discussions on NCDs to date, shifting the focus on the importance of an integrated approach to cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases for health systems.
The session will highlight the current gaps and explore potential solutions to drive better outcomes for cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases.
Featuring global and regional health leaders and experts, the event will explore topics including:
- Why addressing interconnected cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases in NCD strategies is key to achieving NCD targets.
- What needs to be done ahead of, and at, the upcoming UN High-level meeting on NCDs in order to advance interconnected cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic health for all.
- What can be learned from successful initiatives to address cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases on the regional level.
