Making the case for investing in the prevention and control of NCDs

A large number of countries have undertaken investment cases to make the case for scaling up action on NCDs. These country-level analyses complement global business cases for implementing a set of cost-effective and feasible interventions.

This session will hear from countries that have undertaken investment cases in order to learn from their experience in both conducting them and understanding their impact on promoting action.

The session will also highlight the opportunities for investment cases to mobilize domestic and international support. A set of criteria will be proposed to help guide countries determine when they should undertake an investment case and how they make best use of them, highlighting the role of civil society.
