Scaling grassroots innovation addressing NCDs in primary health care in Francophone Africa

This capacity-sharing workshop will bring together representatives from governments and from community-based organizations in Francophone West Africa to discuss how grassroots innovations can be identified, supported and scaled through the public sector. Participants will define grassroots innovations, and discuss the main enablers and barriers to scale, the key partnerships required, the gaps and opportunities to build public sector capacity to ensure sustainable scale-up. The workshop will also provide insights into the knowledge, perspectives and capabilities of government officials regarding the adoption and scale up of existing grassroots innovations for NCD prevention and control.
