Youth leading the way on NCDs

When young people are mobilized, they have the power to command attention and change narratives. When they are trained as advocates, they can drive generational change. At the same time, they are often neglected by health systems that focus on diseases that may not show up until later—even while they are forming the habits that will influence their health for the rest of their lives.

This session will feature the voices of young people who are changing the narrative and driving change in their countries – and holding health-harming industries accountable. Breakout sessions will discuss best practices and lessons learned, as well as providing youth with an opportunity to share ways that we can support their advocacy journeys.
